Finding Courage
With over 22 years of experience guiding individuals and organisations toward effective leadership, I’ve learned that true leadership relies on self-awareness, clarity, compassion, and courage. In 2012, I reached a turning point. While working through a challenging experience in my life, I encountered Brené Brown’s work on the relationship between shame, vulnerability, and courage. This moment not only inspired me personally but has since become the cornerstone of my professional approach. It reminded me that true leadership often emerges from our deepest struggles and the courage it takes to face them.Courageous Leadership for Healthier Lives
Today, I bring this understanding into my coaching and mentoring, helping others find strength, clarity and courage amid their challenges. I understand leadership challenges deeply because I’ve walked this path. I’ve faced setbacks and learned from them, using my experiences and commitment to health to shape my future path.Positive Intervention
My work is grounded in empathy, focusing on those who strive to lead with integrity, resilience, and genuine care for others. I don’t just focus on leadership techniques. I consider the whole person, aligning personal growth and professional success. Through my approach, rooted in neuroscience, emotional intelligence, and proven leadership strategies, I support leaders in creating cultures of resilience, courage, and positive change within organisations. If you’re facing challenges or aspire to inspire change within yourself or your team, I’m here to help you discover your full potential.Healthy Leaders, Healthy Futures
Outside of work, you’ll likely find me teaching and practising yoga – my way of staying balanced – or walking my dog, a constant reminder to pause and appreciate life’s simple joys. These mindful practices shape my approach to leadership, reminding me that resilience and wellbeing are intrinsically linked.Live With Clarity and Confidence

I expected to gain insight and tools for a more positive mindset but the course had surpassed those expectations. It has been deeper and more profound, with an immediate impact on how I think and feel.

Since completing the Positive Intelligence programme, I’ve noticed significant changes in both my mindset and behaviour.
I’ve become more self-aware, particularly in identifying when my 'saboteurs' are influencing my thoughts and actions. This awareness has allowed me to pause, shift my perspective, and respond more calmly and thoughtfully in challenging situations.
I feel more resilient and better equipped to handle stress, both professionally and personally. My inner 'sage' is stronger, enabling me to approach situations with curiosity and creativity rather than judgment or frustration. Relationships have also improved, as I’m now more empathetic and present during conversations.
Overall, the programme has given me tools to support a more positive, focused, and balanced approach to life, which I’ve carried forward in my daily routines
Your empathy, patience, and genuine belief in my potential were evident throughout the process, and it made a huge difference in my confidence and growth. Thank you for being such an inspiring and effective coach.

SMC Consulting
Cheryl has been working with Year 12 students on the issues of consent, harassment and abuse. She pitches it at a level that is appropriate for them and I receive great feedback from both staff and students.
Head of PSHE, Bradford Grammar School
Cheryl has been amazing. She provided a safe space to open up and discuss my own struggles without judgement. I felt I could have real open and honest conversations. I really liked how Cheryl would use questioning to encourage me to reflect and dig deep. We sometimes get so lost in our own thoughts that we believe them all to be true. When being questioned, it makes you think of alternative explanations which has been really helpful.

The session was interactive and the conversations on our tables and throughout the training room
encouraged me to really think about what we were discussing, and have a space to voice my
thoughts. My thoughts can often wander off in training, so this kept me on the ball.
The training was serious but there was room for a giggle which is always welcome.
Kirklees College staff
I really enjoyed coaching. I was at ease all the way through and felt like I could share personal and work related matters without any issues. I was always given plenty of time to respond to questions and it never felt rushed. I would recommend everyone should be coached once to learn about themselves.
DK, South Yorkshire
Cheryl is very professional and knowledgeable and her sessions are interactive and informative. We will be asking Cheryl to return in the next academic year and look forward to developing more bespoke training with her for our wider teams.
